Flexible IT Learning Centre

The Flexible Learning IT Centre is based in The Sutherland Centre, North Street, Skibbereen and offers a wide range of daytime computer courses designed to provide a comprehensive working knowledge of computer applications. We will assess your training needs and plot a specialised training programme to suit your requirements. All courses are taught in a group or individual basis.

Courses include:

  • Computers for the Absolute Beginner incorporating Equal Skills & Basic Keyboard Skills.

  • Beginner’s Wordprocessing using Office 2007.

  • Internet & E-Mail using Webmail/Outlook including Skype.

  • Introduction to Social Media - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube.

  • Skype – learn to communicate on line.

  • Beginner’s Wordprocessing and Internet & E-Mail (as one course).

  • Beginner’s, Intermediate & Advanced Excel (spreadsheets).

  • Beginner’s & Advanced Access (database).

  • MS Powerpoint 2007 Presentations for Work or Social Events.

  • Introduction to Digital Photo Manipulation.

  • Digital Photo Manipulation beyond the basics.

  • Desk Top Publishing using MS Publisher.

  • Maintaining & getting the most from your PC (non technical – ideal for home users).

  • Features of MS Office 2007 – Upgrade from Office 2003. (individual or grouped packages)

  • "In Between" Computers - A taste for those thinking of doing ECDL or who have some knowledge in different areas and are not sure what direction to go in.

  • ECDL – (European Computer Driving Licence).

  • ECDL for Teenagers.

  • ECDL Advanced - Leading to ECDL Expert.

  • ECDL ImageMaker (manipulating Digital Photos).

  • ECDL Webstarter (introduction to Web Design).

  • MS Office Applications and/or Keyboarding Skills for Teenagers.

  • Keyboarding Skills/Typewriting for all ages.

  • Customised Training.

  • Centre for external students to sit all ECDL exams.
